There are pineapples and Pineapples, albeit all highly acclaimed fruit, as my friend would say. I have only found that indescribable sweetness accompanied by an almost imperceptible acidity and a truly delicate fragrance in the very best Pineapples, undeniably those the Guarani call “ananas” or Exquisite fruit.
